At the Alter of Musical Greatness

There is a place I want to be every Sunday. If I had the chance I would show up
early, stay late and worship completely. My church is called The Saxon Pub and it is located in Austin Texas.

This particular night of the week is devoted to the most amazing collection of musicians Austin has to offer.

Stephen Bruton, Jon Dee Graham, Scrappy Jud Newcomb, Bruce Hughes and John Chapman are The Resentments.



Do yourself a favor and listen to what these guys have to offer. Individually and together they are amazing.

Not What I Think Of When I Hear the word Scrappy

Scrappy Jud Newcomb

Austin based guitar bad ass, producer, crooner, former member of Loose Diamonds and all time hottie, Jud Newcomb. His nickname is Scrappy, which does not do him justice.

The first time I saw him in person he flashed me a great big smile. I must admit I was smitten.

If you are a musician, a fan of good music or a girl who likes pretty boys, check him out. If you are ever in Austin, Sunday Nights at the Saxon Pub is a must. Scrappy is a member of the amazing Austin grown supergroup known as The Resentments. See them, you won't regret it.
